Welcome to another OddLearning post!

Because we all need some Real Simple Tips in our daily lives, we bring you a short list of very useful ones to make your life easier.

Let’s get to them right away!

(Just to let you know, most of these tips are “common sense” tips, so they might sound ridiculous but they actually work.)

-You can “program” your brain to be happy by recalling 3 things you are grateful, everyday for a month.

-Drinking 2 cups of water before each meal can help you lose an average 5 pounds within 3 months than if you don’t.

-Grape juice can help you relieve severe migraines.

-When you lend things to friends, take a photo of them holding the item, this way you can ask them back later on.

-Putting your phone on airplane mode will stop ads from popping while using apps, unless you need internet connection. (Which most apps do)

-If you suspect someone is staring at you, yawn. If they yawn back then they were. Yawning is extremely contagious. (You might have already yawned just by reading this tip)

-If you feel like throwing up and need some extra time to reach a bathroom, start humming. Not only will it fight the gag reflex but it will ease the anxiousness.

-Never loan a friend more than you can afford to lose. This will prevent resentful feelings if they are unable to repay you.

-If you start feeling sleepy at an inconvenient time, hold your breath as long as you can, this will increase your heart rate.

-Bananas, papaya, apples, yogurt, ginger, Rice, oatmeal and chicken broth are foods you can eat if you are hungry but you have an upset stomach.

-If you drink a glass of water for every alcoholic drink you have you will still get drunk, but you will avoid getting hangover.

-Eating chocolate while studying will help your brain retain new information more effectively, it has been scientifically proven.

-Wondered if you have bad breath? Lick your wrist and smell it, that’s how your breath smells to others.

-If you have to make a decision, but feel insecure, flip a coin, not to decide randomly for you but you will realize what you really want when it’s in the air.

-Be like the Wise Owl:

A Wise Old Owl

There was an old owl that lived in an oak.

Every day he saw incidents happening around him.

Yesterday he saw a boy helping an old man to carry a heavy basket.

Today he saw a girl shouting at her mother.

The more he saw the less he spoke.

As he spoke less, he heard more.

He heard people talking and telling stories.

He heard a woman saying that an elephant jumped over a fence.

He also heard a man saying that he had never made a mistake.

The old owl had seen and heard about what happened to people.

Some became better and some became worse.

But the old owl had become wiser each and every day.
